Part One:

You have learned to draw and use watercolor paints to make pictures of a Salmon and a Loon.

Now, you will select an animal from the list below and follow the directions for how to draw that particular animal. Each article indicates the kind of materials you will need to complete the project and also tell you the difficulty level of the project.

If you want an extra challenge, there are galleries of images at the end of each article and you can draw from those without using the tutorials.

Part Two:

Once you have finished your paintings, you will collect them into a book. Click through the presentation below to remind yourself how to design a book cover:

Now create a cover for your book. It should have the the following information on it:
Title: "My Alaskan Wildlife Book"
Author: "by" and your name.

You may decorate it any way you like, but make sure your design invites the reader to look inside and also communicates the information clearly!

Part Three:

Fill out a Mask Worksheet. On the worksheet you will be asked to pick several animals that will be a part of your mask.

When you have finished the worksheet, take some practice paper and sketch out a design for your mask. Try to draw it from the side view as well as the front view.
